I’m not a golfer. Don’t have friends who golf. Don’t watch golf. Never plan on learning. And yet I love golf shirts for Disney World. They’ve become my go-to at the parks and I’m not even slightly embarrassed about it.
Here’s why.

Everything Wrong With a Cotton T-Shirt Is Right With a Golf Shirt
Performance fabrics, moisture wicking, dries fast. Everything you need when you’re walking 12 miles in Florida humidity. They run roomier through the torso and arms too, which sounds minor until you realize how much that extra space helps your body breathe on a brutal August afternoon.
And amid a sea of Family Vacation t-shirts and flip flops, you’ll look genuinely put together. If that’s your sort of thing.
The Best Golf Shirts for Disney World
Best Overall: Adidas Climacool
My personal go-to and it’s not close. Affordable, comes in a ton of styles including some genuinely great retro patterns, and fits better than anything else I’ve tried. The Climacool fabric keeps you cool and dries fast when the inevitable sweating starts.
As an added bonus, Adidas makes Climacool polos with Disney characters on them! Not in a loud matching family outfit kind of way. Tastefully done, a small embroidered Mickey on the sleeve or chest. You’ll have to head over to Saratoga Springs (more on that in a minute) or buy one from eBay, but it’s a nice addition to the wardrobe. I have one with a golfing Mickey on the sleeve and it’s my single favorite shirt to wear at the parks. Disney without being too Disney.
Best Splurge: Peter Millar
Excellent quality, feel great, and they’ll hold up through serious use. They lean slightly more formal than the Adidas which isn’t for everyone at a theme park. But if you like to look sharp even on vacation they’re worth every penny.
The Pro Shop at Saratoga Springs
Most people don’t know about this one. The pro shop at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort carries a wide selection of golf polos from multiple brands and they’re pretty much always running a buy one get one 50% off deal. Worth a visit even if you’re not staying there.
The polos they carry often feature Disney characters done right, embroidered subtly on the sleeve or chest rather than splashed across the front. You get the Disney touch without looking like you raided the gift shop.
The Bottom Line
You don’t need to golf. You just need to stay cool while walking the equivalent of a half marathon through one of the most humid places on earth. Golf shirts for Disney World do that better than almost anything else you could pack.
The golfing Mickey on my sleeve is just a bonus.
